When I used to work in the office, one of my favorite things if someone complimented my outfit or shoes was to tell them how much I spent on it. Not to brag, but to share the excitement of how little I spent on something that made me feel great and didn't hurt the checkbook at the same time. Some of the ladies thought it was strange that I would share that kind of information rather than just take the compliment but others would share my enthusiasm for finding such a great deal.
